APPLY FOR ACCREDITATION
Apply for NLP Trainer Accreditation with IBNIC.
IBNIC accredits NLP training schools and programs through a structured, independent review against published professional standards. Accreditation is open to trainers and schools from every recognized NLP lineage. The standard applied is the same for every applicant. What changes is the path to demonstrating it — established schools follow a streamlined process, newer trainers follow the full review. The destination is identical.

Who Can Apply
IBNIC accreditation is open to every qualified NLP school.
Every school and trainer accredited by IBNIC has been assessed against all nine of the following Pillars. Accreditation is not awarded when a school meets some of them. It is awarded when a school meets all of them — and maintained only as long as that standard continues to be demonstrated.
01
Established Schools and Trainers
Schools with five or more years of verified operation, a documented track record of student outcomes, and a clean complaints history follow a streamlined documentary review. No practical assessment or interview is required unless gaps are identified during the documentation review.
02
Emerging Trainers and Newer Schools
Schools and trainers with less than 5 years of operation follow the full review process: documentation submission, standards alignment review, peer evaluation, evidence submission, and, where applicable, an interview or practical skills assessment.
03
Programs Under Enhanced Review
Where a school’s complaint history, documentation gaps, or concerns identified during review warrant closer examination, IBNIC applies an enhanced audit process. The scope and basis of enhanced review are communicated clearly to the applicant at the point it is triggered.
The Six-Step Review
A structured process with a clear outcome.
IBNIC accreditation follows six structured steps. The full process applies to emerging trainers and newer schools. Established operators may proceed directly to steps four through six where documentation review is complete and no gaps are identified.
1
Application and Documentation Review
Submission is reviewed for completeness, clarity, and alignment with foundational requirements. A submission that cannot be clearly assessed is returned with specific guidance before the review proceeds.
2
Standards Alignment Review
Independent reviewers assess all submitted materials against the Nine Pillars and all ethics criteria. Reviewers have no commercial relationship with the applying school.
3
Peer Evaluation and Feedback
A cross-disciplinary panel provides structured, written feedback. The panel’s composition reflects the scope of the application — including evaluators with relevant expertise in integrative coaching where applicable.
4
Demonstration and Evidence Submission
Applicants submit recorded sessions, classroom footage, or other materials demonstrating live NLP training quality, learner engagement, and real-world application of the curriculum being assessed.
5
Interview and Clarification (Where Required)
For newer trainers or where the review identifies questions that documentation alone cannot resolve, an interview or practical demonstration confirms competence and readiness.
6
Decision and Ongoing Review
Final approval is based on evidence and ethics. Accredited schools maintain good standing through annual membership, the five-year renewal audit, and continued compliance with all IBNIC requirements.
WHAT YOU RECEIVE
Accreditation is an ongoing professional relationship.
IBNIC accreditation is not a badge. It is an ongoing professional relationship with defined benefits and defined obligations.
— Right to use the IBNIC accreditation mark on your website and materials
— A verified digital badge for your school, displaying your name and IBNIC Credential Number, ready for your website and marketing.
— Every graduate receives a unique IBNIC Credential Number, assigned to their school-issued certificate and independently verifiable through ibnic.org/verify/.
— A verified digital badge for every registered graduate, displaying their credential title and unique IBNIC Credential Number, ready for their website and marketing.
— Access to IBNIC resources and standards updates as they are issued
— A direct voice in the annual school consultation process
IBNIC accreditation also distinguishes accredited schools from operators who do not meet these standards. In a market where students have limited independent means of evaluating the schools they invest in, accreditation signals something specific: that the school has been assessed on business integrity, contract transparency, and cancellation policy — not only on teaching quality. For schools that already operate with integrity, accreditation makes that visible.
INTEGRATIVE COACHING SCHOOLS
A second accreditation pathway — for specialist and integrative programs.
IBNIC accredits two types of schools. The first is the NLP training school — covered above. The second is the integrative coaching school: a school or specialist trainer whose programs draw on NLP as an informed foundation alongside other evidence-based disciplines, without delivering NLP certification. This pathway exists because serious professionals in adjacent fields have built programs that integrate NLP responsibly and rigorously. Until now, no accreditation pathway existed for them.

CREDENTIAL VERIFICATION & LIFECYCLE
Every graduate of an IBNIC-accredited programme receives a unique IBNIC Credential Number — assigned to their school-issued certificate, independently verifiable, and valid for three years from the date of issue, in line with the ICF renewal standard. After three years, practitioners can reactivate their credential for a small fee: €9 for NLP credentials and €6 for Programme Approved credentials.
